Can I bring my dog?

Dogs travel free on our Heritage train services.
 

Only guide dogs are allowed on our Event trains. 

Is car parking available at all stations?

There is car parking available at Stanhope, Frosterley and Wolsingham stations. Parking at Frosterley is limited as it is a smaller car park.

How much does the car park cost?

Car parking is free at the stations.

Is disabled parking available, and how close is it to the trains?

It is available at the key stations and level access is available

Are there bus services nearby?

Weardale Motor Services Bus No 101 runs an hourly service between Bishop Auckland and Stanhope. Timetables are available Here

Can I buy tickets at any station / on the train?

Yes tickets are purchased on the train or at Stanhope

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Yes

Can I pay with cash?

Yes, however we prefer card payment

Is there a café on site?

Yes, the 'Platform One' café at Stanhope Station is open from 10am to 4pm on Wednesdays to Sundays.

There are no toilets on the train

How long does a return trip take?
Stanhope to Wolsingham is about a 50 minute round trip

You should allow 2 hours for the round trip between Stanhope and Bishop Auckland
