TICKETING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply to your booking; proceeding with your booking means you accept them.

Ticket purchases

 Please note: times/dates of tickets for special events cannot be changed once booked.

Tickets cannot be resold, or offered for re-sale via a third party. To do so invalidates the ticket.

No tickets will be sent out in the post.

When your purchase has been confirmed, your reference is the e-mail sent to the e-mail address you have specified. It is your responsibility to check prior to purchase that the information you have supplied to us in respect of your ticket requirements is accurate. We are only responsible for issuing tickets in accordance with the information you provide.

• Children under 5 travel free
• Concession tickets are available to those over 60 years.
• Carers travel free on production of the relevant proof.
• Well behaved dogs are welcome, travel free but must not take up a seat

Refunds

Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We reserve the right to refuse admission to unaccompanied children. 

Smoking is not allowed in any buildings or on any of the platforms.

DIESEL GALA TICKETING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Your booking is accepted as constituting acceptance of these conditions.

Ticket purchase

Gala tickets are only valid for travel on Sunday 29th December 2024.

Tickets are non-transferable, cannot be resold, or offered for re-sale via a third party. To do so invalidates the ticket.

Tickets are not sent out in the post.

When your purchase has been confirmed you will receive a booking confirmation to the e-mail address that you have provided. It is your responsibility to check prior to purchase that the information you have supplied to us in respect of your ticket requirements is accurate. We are only responsible for issuing tickets in accordance with the information you provide.

Discounted Tickets

• Children under 5 travel free (maximum 2 per adult ticket holder)
• Children aged 5-15 inclusive, 50% discount
• RailRiders members must produce a valid membership card along with the ticket
• Well behaved dogs are welcome, travel free but must not take up a seat
• No further discounts apply

General Terms & Conditions

1. Seats are not reserved for this event, ticket holders may use any available seat for their journey.
2. While Weardale Railway Limited will make every reasonable effort to ensure that trains run as planned, we do not accept responsibility for delays, mishaps or alterations (including a change of the advertised motive power) or curtailment of the event arising from situations outside of our control.
3. Weardale Railway Limited cannot be held liable for any missed connections or non-use of tickets.
4. Please allow plenty of time to reach your joining station and, if appropriate, sufficient time to park your car and make your way to the correct platform to join the train.  You may be required to produce your ticket for inspection whilst boarding.. 
5. If the event is cancelled by Weardale Railway Limited a full refund will be made, but no other liability shall be incurred.
6. Weardale Railway Limited reserve the right to refuse access to, or remove from the train, any persons who are considered to be using inappropriate behaviour affecting the safety of the train and its passengers, spoiling the enjoyment for other passengers on the train, or failing to comply with any reasonable requests made by a member of the train staff.
7. If you have any issues during your visit please bring them to the attention of one of the train crew, or any member of Weardale Railway Limted staff so that there is an opportunity to rectify the situation. It is unreasonable to take no action at the time and subsequently make a complaint. 
8. Weardale Railway Limited cannot be held liable for any costs incurred, or any other losses resulting from a passenger missing the train. It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that they are at the station in good time to board the train. Refunds are not granted if you miss the train.
9. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any part of the train, nor on railway stations.
10. All tickets are non-refundable
